On 7/17/08, as part of a “St. Johns River” wish list, I posed the following question:
24. At Astor, there used to be a small hotel and (barely) a marina along the eastern banks immediately south of the bridge. I have heard this facility has been completely rebuilt and expanded. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Responses follow:

Ok Claiborne,
The old Astor Bridge Marina is now Port of Call Yacht Club Marina. Phone 866-237-6887. I didn’t stop, but they had a Grand Opening Sign in front. There is a short channel from the river that leads back to a basin, from the river you can see that there are some docks etc back there. I figure you can call and get more information. Have a great day!!
