Nice fuel stop. Still reasonable compared to others. The price quoted is incorrect. $3.37, PLUS 7% TAX = $3.70/gallon. 02/19/22

We have stayed in Gulfport MM several times. The staff are always helpful and pleasant. It is a bit of a walk to Gulfport but if you have a car, parking is next to your boat in most cases. The last time we stayed (2012) a planned expansion was being considered for the shower area. The best part is Boca Ciaga Bay just outside the marina and a great place to anchor and dinghy in to see the art community, visit the shops or have a great mean [sic].
Gulfport is my favorite stop around Tampa Bay. There is also a nature park next to the marina and a sailing Yacht Club next door. Don’t miss it.

You are so very right, Denis. When I returned from living in the Caribbean, and I found this little jewel, it felt like I never left the boating/cruising life. I love it here. Everybody can contribute to this area in so many ways….playing a role in helping with our multiple festivals, street fairs, and such worthy events such as Get Rescued, coming up on Feb. 28th. Something for everyone can be found here. And you’ll always find yourself among neighbors. Thanks for all you do.

We kept our boat at the Gulfport Municipal Marina for the past 2 years and cannot say enough good things about it. It all starts with the outstanding staff who understand customer service and truly like working there. We can’t say enough good things about Dennis, both Tonys and Larry(retired now).

The facilities and docks are good and the basin is very protected. We never worried about our boat when we left it in the slip for the past two summers.

The walk to the waterfront restaurants and shops is under a mile and we never had a problem. Most of the time there were many other people doing the same thing. The waterfront area is unique and well worth the walk. We even anchored there a few times and took the dinghy in. And the restaurants are outstanding. Even though we will not return there this year, we will still drive to Pia’s for dinner.

We have fond memories of this marina and will return!

In the 7th Edition to the Cruising Guide of Western Florida, Claiborne advises cruisers staying at the Gulfport Municipal Marina to use a taxi to get to town because of the neighborhood around the marina. My wife and I have walked to town the last two nights. There are lots of people out walking dogs, etc. and all have been very friendly. The marina is a great place as indicated in the guide. We look forward to returning here in the future.

Stored by boat here a few times while cruising. Secure fenced facility, floating transient docks. not really close to shopping. One of the cheaper marina’s around.

It’s not what I would call “a long walk” from the Gulfport Marina to downtown Gulfport. Only moderate, about 8 blocks or so. Definately under a mile. Well worth the walk. There’s plenty of restaurants and lots of artsy shops. I often say, if I didn’t already live here, it would be a wonderful place to cruise to. Fuel is easy to get to in the marina, as long as your vessel is under 50′. Otherwise, it can be tricky turning around to leave. We have about 55′ overall, but we do it all the time.
